With a few hours to kill around Downtown Vancouver, I took a spin around on the bike, where I thought I’d try and find some classic waterfront views. Not my typical post, but sometimes it’s nice just to enjoy the view… There’s still some good traffic free bike infrastructure though…

If cargo bike moms and dads are the indicator species of bicycle network safety and connectivity… then Victoria is pretty safe and connected... On this whistle stop tour of some of the city’s bike infrastructure, they were everywhere.

Well, sort of… this blog post is less about super wide bike lanes, and more super wide photographs of them. But like usual, there are lots of bike lanes, and some other interesting things along the way…

The Esplanade Complete Street project provided a considerable upgrade to the active transportation infrastructure and streetscape along this busy commercial arterial street, making it safer and more comfortable for everybody travelling along it.
